Wonderful 5 day getaway with parents and 2 adult couple children.3 full size bedrooms were perfect.Great service and communication with the mgnt. team before and during stay. House was just as described,plenty big for 6 adults, nicely decorated Key West Vibe, spotlessly clean and ready before our check in time. Perfect location, walk or bike to all attractions,restaurants. Quiet neighborhood.Bikes were delivered ready upon arrival. Can't say enough good things about our stay. Bring your family here , you'll love it . Already looking for next year.

We came to town for a friends birthday with 2 other couples. The house was a good size for all of us to be able to spend out. The beds were comfortable. Close to the marina and other neighborhood restaurants.

Wow, what a great rental in paradise. All previous reviews are spot on, great rental with no surprises. All the standard stuff you expect to be great is. Plus some personal peeves I have with older properties were non-existent. For example, all sink drains...drained. The propane grill had propane and was cared for and set up for proper use. The ignitor worked. The pool was indeed properly heated. Our air temp during the day was low to mid 70's...the pool was 94 --- so, so comfy. Plenty of pool towels, Ice machine worked great. On street parting was no problem, two great restaurants (Mangia Mangia and Bob's on Margaret) right next door. And so on...

In short super property and super responsive guest focused rental management company.

We had a great time - house is close enough to walk to most things or take the free air conditioned bus for the rest. Great Italian on the corner and plenty of other delicious restaurants/cafes within a couple of blocks. A/C works great and each room has its own unit - beds were comfortable; bed linens were not the best. And in classic Key West style, there is a rooster who walks the neighborhood each morning doing his patrol! We did bring our own pool Floats and outdoor speaker and did not see that the home had either.

For our first visit to Key West, we had originally booked a resort on Mallory Square. However, after stumbling across the Historic Key West Vacation Rentals website, we changed our plans--and we're so glad we did! Chavez House was our own private oasis. The house is beautifully renovated with so much charm and character and cozy comfort. With two teenagers, we appreciated having multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, and the location is perfect for quick bike rides to just about everywhere. We absolutely loved the plunge pool and lush tropical landscaping of the private backyard. The rental company was amazing to work with and pretty much anticipated our needs before we did. So professional and accommodating. Truly, a dream getaway!

The home was perfect for our family of 6. It was cozy yet roomy enough for everyone to be together or go off to their quiet spots for alone time. The home has been beautifully restored while keeping the key west charm. We loved our outdoor living space and the landscaping made it so private. The Managenent staff was super welcoming and responsive. We definitely want to stay here again!!!!

The check-in process was extremely easy, efficient and friendly. The home was in great shape upon arrival, clean, tidy and great location. We would definitely stay here again, it was far enough off Duval to have peace and quiet, yet close enough to the action. Landscaping was excellent, outside of residence well kept. Property description was very accurate, the amenities within the home were excellent, light switches could use better labeling, but overall well maintained. Property Management was in constant contact to see if we needed anything, for the home or concierge services - which was nice!

House was spotless and full of Key West charm and character. Very private backyard with wonderful lounging area by private pool. We were able to walk everywhere! The location couldn’t be beat! 5 stars all around!!

This house was perfect for us for my son’s wedding! We had lots of “stuff” for the wedding and there was plenty of room to store until needed. Wish I had more time to play in the pool! Bed was very comfortable. Kitchen was very large. It was very clean. Customer service was very prompt when one of the smoke alarms was beeping. Parking is always a challenge which we were prepared for. We also had a golf cart which was extremely convenient. We were on a quieter residential street so noise wasn’t a factor at all. I would definitely rent again!

We had an Amazing time at The Chavez House. It was close to everything, had plenty of room for 3 couples and the even though we did not cook the kitchen was well equipped. The backyard was so pretty, you felt like you were in your own private bungalow on a tropical island, not in the middle of a neighborhood. Can't wait to come back!

Do not know how old these pictures are but the pool area absolutely does not look like this at all! Trees are much bigger than the picture shows and the pool gets very little sun all afternoon. For the price we paid for a weekly rental it should include a parking pass. Absolutely no where to park that was not RESIDENT parking.

Everything was great. Property is in excellent condition. Location is hard to beat. Close enough to walk/bike everywhere but on a quiet side street. Home was very clean and everything worked flawlessly.

Management company was outstanding from the moment we made the reservation until we checked out.

comfortable and well stocked home was perfect for our family of 5. Kitchen was stocked with plenty of cooking items to cook and eat some meals. Plenty of bath and pool towels. I loved having coffee every morning out on the deck. Very private and quiet backyard. I loved that we were in a quiet neighborhood, but still walking distance to Duval Street. Highly recommend !

The home was absolutely beautiful and the neighborhood divine! You can walk to grab a cup of Cuban coffee and a fantastic restaurant is two doors down. The home is well done with the highlight being the backyard pool and deck.

The house is fantastic. It's located within walking distance of just about everything. The pool is fairly small, but it was perfect for us. We'd definitely stay here again if we return to Key West.

We had a great stay at the Chavez House - two adults and one baby. The location was perfect, close to everything but nice and quiet when you just want to kick back and relax. The home had everything we needed and we were very quickly able to settle in and make it feel like our home away from home (not just a hotel room).

the few bad tv not adequate for that price rental should have at least two 55 in monitor with at least netflix kitchen tools need iprovement knives are silly but we bought 3 good ones at the kitchen store
baths could be easily upscaled by mkaking one a real shower outdoor lounges cannot be sat in
nonetheless it deserves sn overall A grade

The house was more breathtaking in person! It was the perfect amount of space for the three couples that were in our group. The pool was amazing; everything was amazing. It was nice that the basics were provided, like towels, which take up way too much room in luggage! Only a couple of blocks from bike rental, food, drinks, and the main street. Will definitely come back here, especially with the available and helpful rental management staff.

Wonderful place to stay in a great location! Close enough to all the fun that key west has to offer but also far enough away to have some peace and quiet. We loved the outdoor space this place has to offer! And the house has lots of old world charm with updated amenities. And make sure you stop by Michaels which is right up the street, their martinis are to die for!

Wonderful historic home in a perfect central location in KW. It's ideal for a peaceful getaway with easy access to great restaurants and things to do - check out Cuban Coffee Queen in the morning, have lunch at Eaton Fish Market, and ride your bike all over until it is time for a cooling dip in the just-right pool. Go see the sunset at Mallory Square and pick any of the bars or restaurants in the island for a fun night out.

The Chavez House was wonderful. Fully remodeled with great amenities. The rental company was very attentive and friendly. We had a problem with the AC when we first got there. They were on the problem immediately.

The pool was a very nice addition. It is very small but certainly gets the job done and is a wonderful backdrop while sitting around the backyard.

The house is located on a quiet side street but is a couple of minutes from Duval Street and the marina.

Everything about this house is perfect! It made for a great weekend visiting with family and friends. All aspects of the house were just as expected. The rental agency was so easy to work with and even held our luggage after check out since we had a few hours before heading to the airport. I would definitely rent this house again and work with Key West Vacation Rentals again. Thank you for everything!

Beautiful property in a wonderful location. Sleeps 6 but perfect for 2 or 4.Beautifully presented with all needs catered for. On the management side the only issue is that with check out at 10am which is tight but ok the cleaner let herself in at 9am whilst we were showering. This should not happen until 10.

We spent my wife's 30th birthday weekend here, and could not have been happier. Literally the only negative I can think of is the walls are a bit thin, so you might want some music to drown out the sounds of both outside and inside when you get ready to sleep.

We booked our Historic Key West Vacation Rental to celebrate an important birthday. This company is one of the best in the business. This is the second time we have used Historic Key West Vacation Rentals.
The property is phenomenal. From the moment we arrived, we could not have asked for a more perfect setting. The property is clean and wonderfully appointed. I felt like we were staying in the perfect home on our vacation.

My family (group of 6) stayed here during the Hemingway lookalike contest and we could not have asked for better accommodations. The house is walking distance to Duval street and most main attractions, was clean and cute, and the rental property was a breeze and a pleasure to work with! We would stay here again in a heart beat.

The Chavez house was an amazing property that was perfectly suited for my friends and I who were on a 'dadchelor party' weekend.

The house is clean and very classy. Built in 1870 it has a lot of charm. It is also clear that it was recently renovated with great attention to detail.

I would recommend the Chavez and it's management hand's down. A+++

We had a very good experience. I will give all the categories a 5 with a couple of asterisks: The lack of parking was disappointing. However, we managed. We were unable to get the television in the living room to work. Our children are "tech" savvy and they too couldn't help. We called and left a message but never got a reply. Not a big deal. Overall, an excellent stay. A lovely place!

The Chavez House is large, beautiful, clean, and an easy walk to everywhere we wanted to go. We had a great time. The kitchen was very well stocked, and there were lots of linens, even beach towels. The only thing that was missing was an alarm clock in the bedroom, so we could wake up early for our Dry Tortuga trip; but next time we will bring one.

We came to the keys with two other couples. The house was great. An old historical home with lots of charm but with all the modern updates you need. The back deck with its large grill where great for a summer night of catching up with friends. While located on one of the quieter streets, the house is close enough to walk to museums, the square or the historical grave yard.

We rented the house for a 5-day vacation with friends. The house is in great condition, is located in a quiet neighborhood but with easy access to everything you could want. There are 2 very good restaurants within a block, a great grocery store within 3 blocks and two small cafes/coffee places within a black. Danny provided EXCEPTIONAL help to us for restaurant suggestions and rentals.

House was very cozy. I would stay there again. Only thing down fall of the location is parking. There was no parking available when I got there. There is no drive way to park your car. You have to catch someone leave that is not a reserved spot. Other than that tho, the house was very nice, clean.

We loved the Chavez home. Very relaxing with a beautiful kitchen and relaxing patio for spending quiet evenings with the family. Super clean and well appointed. Great location so we didn't rent a car and simply walked or biked everywhere. We would definitely stay again!
