We had a great month staying at Blue Haven! The deck and pool are great, that was where we spent a lot of our vacation. The house is comfortable for 6 people. The guest house has been beautifully updated. The main house has the best equipped kitchen we have ever seen in a rental. Comfortable beds and seating. The only downside is the airplane noise, it didn’t bother us but it may bother sensitive renters. Quiet neighborhood, removed from the chaos of Duval Street but just a 10 minute bike ride away.

wonderful rental on a quiet street

The description of the property was accurate. It is on a very quiet street but within walking distance to the fun of Duval Street and the beaches. We did not bother with renting a car and just walked to everything on Key West. The bed was comfortable, and everything was in working order. There are roosters, but they are all over the island, so not a complaint on the rental. That is just an overall heads up if traveling to Key West. We got used to them within a couple of nights, and they do quiet down. The property owner was awesome. Loved the concierge service. Made planning and booking things so easy!! Highly recommend this place.

This is an oasis from busy Duval Street. perfectly located, about a 15 minute walk to Mallory Square, about a five minute walk to the southernmost point. Easily walkable to Hemingway house and Truman House. And beautifully decorated, they thought of everything. Plenty of towels, kitchen, tools, etc. Super responsive to text messaging, reply within the hour, every single time.Would definitely stay here again. (A heads up: the upstairs shower is really only suited for people under 5‘6“. The bedrooms are spacious up there, but that shower style is crazy short. The master shower is nice and tall.)

The Historic Key West Vacation Rentals Agency was a pleasure to deal with. Call them directly in lieu of going through VRBO or AirBNB and have to pay for their added fee with nothing to show for the added burden. The agency even provides free concierge service (coordinated golf cart rental and information on things to do) which is unavailable through VRBO or AirBNB, and a place to store your luggage while waiting for rental check in time. Outstanding accommodations. We rented a six passenger golf cart for our travels in Key West. Parking is a challenge in the Keys. The house we rented could accomodate one vehicle plus the golf cart. Our party was six adults. The home worked very well . It had upstairs one king bed with an adjoining bath and two small bedrooms each with full or queen size beds and a shared bathroom. The first floor easily accomadated 6 adults with 1/2 bathroom, washer & dryer, large 6 seated dining room, large family room with a small TV, a small kitchen but well furnished. I would recommend an upgrade for the coffee pot to be one that supported Keurig as well as ground coffee. Fridge, stove, dishwasher, sink, microwave, pots and pans, utensils and dishwasher. The outdoor pool and patio area around it was a real plus, and where we spent most of our time. Decorated perfectly with a tropical flare and very private from the street and other homes. A grill and outside shower were an added bonus. Location was convenient to places to eat & small grocery stores. Some form of transportation was needed to go to larger grocery store and beaches on the East side of the Island. Although not terribly far to walk to the action spots on Duval street. It was a good distance to Mallory Square and the West side activities and the Golf Cart was used for those trips and to visit the Southern Most Point, Hemingway House, the Butterfly House and Garden. Our overall experience, principally as a result of our wonderful accomadations was outstanding.

We've been coming to KW for 20 years and have found this property to be one of the best. From its location to all the amenities - they have thought of everything. I work from home and even the wifi could keep up with all my reports. It would be nice to have a book with check in and check out information - I felt bad for asking questions, that with a little looking thru my emails, I could have found BUT when you are in Key West you forget all your worries! Great property and we will rent it again (and when we get our house built, we will send our overflow guest in this direction!).

We had a wonderful week in Key West. Solaris Garden was the perfect size for my wife and me. It was exactly as advertised. It was clean, well maintained, spacious and well stocked. The location was excellent. We were able to walk or ride our bikes to great restaurants, the marina, and any of the sites we wanted to see. Perfect for our 10 day vacation... all on one floor, newly renovated with top of the line furnishings and equipment. Two bedrooms, two baths, both with walk in showers. It's in a quiet location in walking distance to many sites and restaurants. We enjoyed many meals on the wrap around deck with table and chairs in shaded areas. Good customer service from the property managers.
There's also an outdoor grill, hot tub, and parking.
We've already booked for 2026!

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful home in Key West for my 40th birthday! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and comfortable. The house was very comfortable, spacious, and well-appointed, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind.

The pool and fountain were absolute highlights—such a peaceful oasis to cool off after a day of exploring. Another big plus was having a washer and dryer, especially for a week-long stay! The house was also fully equipped with everything needed to cook at our leisure, which made it feel like a true home away from home.

The location couldn’t have been better—walkable to tons of great restaurants, bars, and stores, making it easy to experience the best of Key West without needing a car.

One of the most memorable moments for me was spotting the framed Yankees poster upstairs from the last game at the old stadium. That’s where my husband and I got engaged, and seeing it here brought a huge smile to my face!

We also had the pleasure of bringing our friends Jim and Patty along—Jim had never been on a plane before, and what a perfect place for his first flight! This trip was full of unforgettable memories, and we are so grateful for this wonderful home.

Poinciana Garden is in a good location just a couple of blocks east of Duval Street and within an easy walk of the the Hemingway House and lighthouse. The unit has a very nice outdoor area with rocking chairs, dining space, and screened sitting area. The unit was very clean and the kitchen adequately furnished. We had a wonderful stay at the Hibiscus Cottage. It has obviously had a recent renovation but did not lose the look and feel of an old conch house. Comfortable furnishings and a surprisingly large master with an en-suite bath that would rival that of a five star hotel. We enjoyed coffee on the front porch swing and breakfast from Fausto’s on the private deck. The property itself is also so beautiful with lush tropical gardens surrounding your every move. To top it off, the location is unbeatable. One block off Duval and just a few blocks from Mallory Square and many of the great restaurants in Key West. We will not hesitate to rent this little gem again.

This was our second year at the “Treetop” and will hopefully not be our last. We are already planning for our next stay in 2026. This property definitely deserves a five star review-it has every amenity that we need from clean, spacious living areas, full kitchen, two glorious balconies, parking and even washer and dryer accessibility. Plus the location on Whitmarsh Lane is very private and in close walking proximity to downtown.

We rented The Escape at Sunset Key to escape winter in New England, and it was a truly wonderful place to do just that! The location on Sunset Key is fabulous - with access to the pool, beaches, fitness center, spa and the incredible Lattitudes restaurant. Access is also very easy to Key West and all that Duval Street has to offer! We found it a true getaway from winter.

As you would expect with most any extended rental, we encountered several issues along the way. But the rental management company was very responsive, and helped ensure that the problems were adequately resolved and we were able to enjoy our stay.

We will definitely consider returning for another Escape!

We take family trips around 3Xs a year and within the US always stay at VRBOs. This is without a doubt a 5-star rental. The concierge service from Cindy from booking to golf cart drop off was superb. She helped with every wish, with all and any arrangements including activities and dinner recommendations. The property was super, super clean, grounds well maintained and the living space for the 8 of us was a perfect layout. Great large island table with seating for 10. Plenty of seating area inside and out and the back yard was very peaceful with the running waterfall in the pool. Two front decks to enjoy your coffee from or WINE. You are on Duval Street at the southern point so there is some light noise from the morning street sweepers, navy planes and of course ROASTERS! Nothing that interrupted your sleep or I would deduct from this rating. Wonder location! Highly recommended!

We loved the unit and the location. Clean, newly remodeled, just the right size for two people. The garden, pool area was so quaint, quiet and relaxing. A couple small items, the grill needs a face lift and some attention. People should know it is a coin operated laundry so you can bring quarters with you. The unit itself could use a few more dishes, I.e. stoatge dishes for left overs, martini, on the rocks and a cocktail shaker. We stayed three weeks so it gives one a different perspective than just a couple overnights. The bike rack was a nightmare. One of the gentlemen that stays there parks his car on top of them so it is soooo hard to get in and out. Overall I would definitely recommend this cottage for a KW visit.

What a great home-base from which to explore Key West and relax. The location on the quiet end of Duval is convenient to restaurants, shops and the beach. The management company (Historic Key West Properties) is very professional and easy to work with and its concierge services provided excellent recommendations and seamlessly arranged a golf cart and bikes for us.

The house itself was spotless, well furnished and thoughtfully arranged. The four bedrooms, all with ensuite baths, fit our group of 6 perfectly. The outdoor space, complete with pool, was a favorite hangout spot for our adult children and their friends. It's one of those houses you walk by and think "What a great place to stay, wish we'd booked that" - and this time we did! Highly recommend!

We loved this unit. The location is fabulous-right in the middle of Old Town, most everything is an easy walk. The unit is charming and the neighborhood is peaceful and quiet, a nice porch light and motion sensor lights make you feel safe and welcome when coming home late. The bed and furnishings are very comfortable. It was great to have the washer/dryer on site. Seriously consider renting bikes for your stay-they make the whole island accessible without needling a car (parking very limited).

This rental service provides professional, responsive, informative service every time. Our home away from home was clean and stocked with exactly what they promised. Location was great and every staff/service person we encountered was courteous. Highly recommended.
Location was perfect.
This particular house is a bit noisy inside...due to few rugs, lack of insulation, and other design/structural aspects. We had 6 adults so it was tolerable but glad we didn’t have kids to put down for naps/bed. ;)

The parking space next to the house was also phenomenal. The inside was charming, spacious, and very comfortable. Our children loved the heated pool out back and we spent many evenings enjoying the beautiful trees and plants and cozy covered patio out back. It was just wonderful.

cozy hide-a-way

We enjoyed our stay in this cute and comfy rental, that was tucked away on a side street, just a couple from the action on Duval St. We enjoyed the front porch every day, sipping coffee/drinks, reading quietly, made possible by the privacy fence and bushes. We used the kitchen every day, perfect for starting and ending our days with home cooked meals. Although we never did use it, there is a cute courtyard out back with grill, table/chairs. The air conditioning kept us nice and cool. The shower felt great each day.
During the day we roamed around the city, taking in the sights, hit the beach, checked out local preserves, sipped at the local watering holes.
There are plenty of touristy things to do, such as museums, trolley, conch train, drag shows... and more shopping than you can imagine.
As for parking, it was easy and we scored a spot right around the corner every day, just steps from the rental.
Need to know: the neighborhood rooster makes his presence known each morning; however the broom on the front porch will help to shoo him away.
Pack your bag, stop to get groceries and you’re good to go!

Somehow the pictures don't do the house justice - it is huge! We spread out across three floors and it was wonderful. Grandparents in the main level master, parents with kids on the second floor, and another couple upstairs. We only had 8 but could certainly sleep many more. The pool was perfect size for toddler kids to swim back and forth and great for older folks to soak in too. The management company is incredibly responsive and helpful. I was worried about noise on Duval but it wasn't an issue at all - its a quieter end of the street. 10/10 would stay again!

Villa Luxe was a great fit for our family with three couples who enjoyed having a little extra space to spread out. The location is great and walkable to nearby restaurants. The pool and palm trees are amazing. All was clean and well taken care of. The kitchen has an industrial vibe and bare bones cookware, but essentials all provided. There were so many communications that it actually made it a little harder to find the basics like key codes and departure instructions. All in all we had a wonderful stay.

Wrapping up a fantastic stay at Butterfly Cottage. One couple plus our friend. Total comfort for three. Would have also been fine with a fourth. Let’s just say that we couldn’t keep talking about how well done this layout was. Two king ensuite bedrooms. Kitchen with island and every conceivable necessity for a weekend trip. Coffee maker. Ice maker. Disposal. All drawers were labeled. All outlets were labeled. All doors had these little clear wall bumpers to protect but also prevent mishaps. The wrap around deck was great. Privacy if we wanted individual sides of the deck. Multiple sitting areas, a hot tub, exterior laundry. Off street parking. We were told parking for a small car. We rented a small SUV which fit fine. But we also had a few scooters we rented on island and a four seater cart. Room for all vehicles. Attentive staff via text message not so much because we needed anything but because they just checked in on us periodically. Even accommodated an early check in. All in all a great stay at a great property. We’ve used other rental companies in the past but will 100% be booking them again.

Charming cottage-KW vibes! Cottage is in a great location-walkable to Southernmost, action on Duval, great restaurants and Higgs Beach.

A quiet respite as well if you choose. Indoor decor was comfortable and well maintained-especially loved the cozy side library space. The pool was the perfect size with lots of sunny areas and cozy shaded seating-ceiling fans were a huge plus.

Review of “The Pink House”
As we crossed the threshold of the Pink House and laid eyes on the conch shell door knocker we knew we were in for a special stay.
This home is decorated throughout with a very special attention to detail.
Kudos to the lead decorator ��.
The well appointed kitchen is quite the place to gather to cook, relax and laugh.
The kitchen separates 2 living rooms with one used for total relaxation and reading and the other for laughter and making the special memories with a nice TV in the background.
The 2 large bedrooms upstairs are absolutely wonderful and the large walk in closet was a huge surprise.
Relaxing outside surrounded by palm trees and a lovely scenic pool with a separate cocktail pool for gathering around reminded us that we were indeed staying in a special slice of paradise.
It is quite the spot to reminisce about the days gone by.

The home is a classic key west historic home! So much love is put into the restoration and maintenance of this home. 3 couples stayed for 5 nights. Two couples who travel well together didn’t mind the close quarters upstairs in the jack n Jill bathroom. We also had a quarter bathroom in the laundry room to use & the men loved the outdoor urinal. The pool was perfect for late night swims & morning dips with a cup of coffee. Large parking spot for our car and a back gated area for our bikes. The kitchen has everything we needed. The management organized everything perfectly for us. Cheers to house keeping because this house was the cleanest home I have ever rented. This home brought us so much joy, even a few friends who stopped by to say hi were so in love with it. The location was amazing, 5-20 minute bike ride to everything in the heart of key west, far enough to enjoy the quiet mornings.

We had a lovely stay at Miss Sunshine. This location was different than previous stays in that we were closer to Higgs Beach and much quieter than some other areas of the island. perfect getaway

We just ended the most perfect friends getaway. The location of this property is perfect if you want to just park your car and experience Key West. We rented scooters / golf carts 1.5 blocks away. Everything else was well within walking distance. This property is laid out very well. There are 4 bedrooms in the main house all with their own bathrooms. Note that one bedroom has 2 twin beds which cannot be rearranged. An additional 2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms, kitchen, living, and balcony are in the guest house. A private tropical oasis is situated between both homes with a pool and plenty of lounge chairs to enjoy the sun. A covered porch with tv was perfect for watching football. The property was clean and the management was quick to respond with any questions. Check in process was easy. Bananas is a great breakfast place located directly across the street. La-Te-Da is an amazing restaurant for dinner and drinks. You can arrive in Key West via car or plane. We were not aware that United and American flew jets into this island. We will definitely be back.

Poinciana was the most beautiful little home. We fell inlove pulling up. It was fresh and warm! The bed was so comfortable! We slept like babies. Which is odd because we never do away from our own bed. The a/c unit was fabulous. It kept the place cool but also dry. Humidity is insane. But inside I was cool and not sticky. Not even the floors. The washer and dryer was a super plus. We just loved everything about this place. Will forever stay here when visiting KW. Ohhh. . Let's not forget it has PARKING!

We absolutely loved our stay in Key West, the house was wonderful, with the 2 separate apartment style rooms downstairs we were able to have privacy and time spent with my parents. They stayed in the back room with the beautiful garden area, and we stayed in the front. A golf cart fit perfectly in the small parking area and was great for getting around all week. The house location is perfect for quite peaceful time, and just minutes from all the fun and noise of Duvall Street. The house was clean and provided everything we needed. Definitely on our visit again list. The management concierge team was so helpful and kind to deal with, they helped us book our excursions, golf cart and even provided lots of information and suggestions.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this vacation rental! It was the perfect spot for our family getaway. The house was spacious, providing plenty of room for everyone to have their own cozy corners and spots to relax. We loved gathering in the large living area for family games and movie nights. The kitchens were fully equipped, making it a joy to cook meals together.

The location couldn't have been better. We were close to everything—shops, restaurants, and local attractions were all just a short walk away. It made exploring the area so convenient.

One of our favorite features was the outdoor space. We enjoyed morning coffee on the patio and evening swims in the backyard. The kids had a blast playing games outside while we relaxed and took in the serene surroundings.

Overall, this rental was perfect for creating cherished family memories. We can't wait to return! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located spot for a family vacation.

We absolutely loved this house!! Great location, steps to Duval but still a quiet street. A lovely, clean little place with all the comforts of home. The pool is the perfect temp on a hot summer day and the property is very well kept.
The property managers were not only super nice but they are available to help with any questions or concerns at any time. They even offered to find us accommodations if we missed our flight due to the cyber outage. Which for us was not necessary as we arrived by boat. Great people !

Dreaming on Duval was walking distance to most everything , but we did rent a golf cart through HKWVR. The furnishings were both comfortable (including all the beds)and beautiful. Space was great for our extended family of 10. We loved people watching from the front porch, cooling off in the pool, and walking to dinner, shopping and many sightseeing stops. Management company was excellent with communication.

A wise man once told me, “the sign of a great hotel (or Airbnb), is if you walk in, and it feels like you’re the 1st person to ever stay there”. Lilly’s Pad passed the test with flying colors! My group of advanced scuba divers, had an amazing stay. Everything in town was just a short meander away. Shop’s, restaurants, bars, the beach, the “scary bar on the corner of rainbow lane”.....quiet location, but close enough to the action. The communication with the staff was easy & immediate. The house was not just immaculate, but beautifully furnished, well stocked, with very comfortable beds. The outdoor area was very private and chill. I would highly recommend this home. A shout out to the Key West crew, Rhonda, Bella, “Sloppy Johnny”, Dumpster Band, Girl on the Bike at 3AM, Gorilla Girl, Traveling, Dancer with the bad contract, Stalker Sally and all the great characters we met in Key West. The Lilly Pad is a beautiful relaxing vacation home. The house was very clean and the perfect size for the 6 adults. The Concierge at historic Key West vacation rentals made all the arrangement for me. She contacted the golf cart company to make sure it was delivered to their office waiting on us when we arrived. She also reserved our sunset tour and snorkeling trip for us. They do an excellent job. We had a problem with the hot water and their Maintance department came out quickly and replaced the water heater Johnny on the spot. And the 2 repairmen were very nice to talk to while they worked, he even gave us some mangos that were growing close by. We all highly recommend Historic Key West vacation rentals and their staff.

We had a lovely time staying at La Maisonnette! The house is very comfortable, clean, accommodating. It was the perfect size for two of us for 4 nights. Also the small pool in the courtyard is very nice and was a nice place to relax and sun bathe. It's hard to note from the pictures but the home is located in a courtyard with other bungalows. There's beautiful tropical trees and plants so it feels secluded from the other homes located in the same courtyard. It's in a good location walking distance to most of the restaurants, attractions, etc.

This was one of the BEST vacation rentals we have ever been in! The Villa is so well maintained and beautifully decorated and remodeled inside. Everything was top notch. We loved all the artwork! It is nicely laid out, room for everyone and places to get away from another if needed. It is very well stocked in all the rooms. The linens are wonderful too. Not cheap and inexpensive like other rentals we have been in. The kitchen has everything you would need. It was nice to have a washer and dryer as well. The pool was an added plus and we all used it multiple times everyday. It is super clean as they have weekly pool service. The parking was easy especially if you have an extra car that needs parking on the street. But the parking area included is larger than we thought. We had 2 golf carts that fit nicely. The Villa is in a great area so we pretty much walked to dinners in the evening. It’s very safe as well. It was fun to have the carts to get into town. Everything is so close! Every restaurant we went to was excellent. The Historic Key West Rental company was a joy to deal with. Everyone I spoke to was so helpful. They even arranged our cart rental for us. Their concierge Cindy was beyond helpful! She sent out a huge list of things to do and see while in Key West. I can’t wait to go back and spend more time exploring the town and especially staying at Villa Josine. I would not hesitate staying at any of their properties. They are a fantastic group to work with! I loved the fact that they really made you feel welcome and were happy you were there. Great experience!!

three couples visiting key west for four nights

This house suited the needs of a four night trip to Key West by three couples that travel well together. Well maintained, pretty and traditional Key West property, complete with nearby crowing roosters in the morning. About eight blocks from Duval Street. We found it okay to walk TO Duval Street in the afternoon but quite a slog to walk BACK from Duval Street late at night after dinner and drinks. Took an Uber. Biggest heads-up about this house is the bathroom arrangement. The descriptions contradict...3 baths stated in one place and 2.5 baths stated in another place. In reality, there is only one full private bathroom in the MBR, a second full private bathroom that is between the other two bedrooms in a "Jack and Jill" arrangement. The third "bathroom" consists of a toilet and lavatory in the laundry room and a shower outside by the pool. A bit misleading but technically 3 bathrooms all together! If you travel well together...not an issue. If you require more privacy...could be a problem...particularly if there are snorers that rattle the louvered doors throughout the bedrooms and bathrooms. Anyway, nice place and good service. We'd return.

We enjoyed Villa Azuls large great room of dining/living room/kitchen that together make for very comfortable living space. The kitchen is well appointed with cookware and serving utensils. Upstairs suite is really large! Beds in all rooms are very comfortable. Bedding is quality. Outside living on the table/deck and pool makes a wonderful place to sun, play cards and take a dip. However,there was a lot of debris coming down off the mango tree and we swept our deck often. The pool house is small but very comfortable and the guest we had in there were happy with it. The one way Curry Lane is very narrow and often Ubers did not come down. We walked to the end for pick-up. We went to Harpoon Harrys, Boathouse and BO's for some of our favorite dining spots. 5 Brothers for morning coffe and breakfast sandwiches is really close.

My husband and I were so glad we booked Solaris Garden through Historic Key West Vacation Rentals. It is on a quiet lane with beautiful trees and plants around the patio. Easy to store the bikes. The kitchen and bathroom have all you need including good knives, wineglasses and a fabulous shower. Bed comfortable. Laundry and clothesline useful. The living space was thoughtfully and artfully designed. The minisplit, fans and air conditioner kept the temp just right. We also appreciated the concierge services provided that gave us a worry-free week in Key West. a gem of a rental!

This home is one of the best vacation rentals I have ever rented! The house was well-maintained and very well stocked. From extra blankets to plenty of dishes, pots and pans, extra towels, toilet paper, dishwasher tablets, etc. All of the furnishings were comfortable (beds, couches, table and chairs, etc) and the outdoor furniture was also plentiful and comfortable. The location of this house is an A+! Right off Duval Street but very quiet and tucked away. The pool was small but plenty for us to dip in when we got hot. I would suggest asking the pool temp to be lowered during hot months as it was very warm. We didn’t realize we could ask for that. Overall, this was a really great rental. We would recommend it highly!

We had a great stay at Potters Cottage! The house is well appointed and wonderfully maintained. It was perfect for our family of 4. There are 2 beds plus three sitting areas with couches (1 pulls out). The furniture inside and out was comfortable! The kitchen had everything we needed to make and serve Easter dinner- we were thrilled. The pool was literally a step away and was a great place to relax and refresh at any time. The washer and dryer were large and easy to use. Two minor drawbacks- the house does not come with parking or a residential permit. We were never able to grab the spot in front of the house. The upstairs bedroom area is accessible by a narrow, step staircase which may be challenging for some travelers. The rental company, Historic Key West Vacation Rentals, was great to work with. We look forward to returning!

This was our first time staying in Truman Annex & we could not be happier.
The house was perfect for my family of four. We loved the location, the patio area and my daughters loved the privacy of the third floor bedroom that they had to themselves. This house is exactly as described. Right off the action on Duval, but as soon as you enter the property, you’d never know it. The house is definitely on the pricier side but it’s all about the location. We rented a golf cart which was perfect for getting around. The pool was nice (but on the smaller side if you have a lot of kids). House was very clean and big enough for our family of 6.

This cottage was perfect! It was less than a block off Duval St. we could walk everywhere- to restaurants, shops, etc.... We loved the back/side yard with the pool, the lounge chairs and the cabana. It was heavenly. The pool adjusted temperature so it was cooler in the day and warm at night. It was just superb. This cottage had a nice little kitchen, if you wanted to cook, washer/dryer if you need to do laundry and a dining and living room area. There was a king bed (super comfy), a queen bed (comfy), a room with 2 singles (not comfy) and a room with another single (didn’t use). Plenty of bathrooms. There were numerous towels in every bathroom ready for us to use and beach towels for the pool. So thoughtful. The team was incredibly communicative at this property. Would DEFINITELY stay here again.

Great house. We were 4 couples. Living space was excellent. Loved the heated pool and private backyard. One couple did have to sleep in the twin beds. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were nice. Nice to have laundry especially since it poured rain. We were able to get both our cars in the driveway without hanging over the sidewalk. House is 3-4 blocks off of Duval. We never used our cars. Will rent again for sure!

Terrific property in a great location. The 33 steps to the 3rd floor bedroom were a bit of an issue. The AC went out one day and the temp soared into the 90's. However, with one phone call, a maintenance man came to our unit even though it was after he had gone home for the day and within a few hours, the AC unit was repaired. The one thing I did not like was the hassle created by their check in and check out policy. You cannot gain access to your unit until 4:00pm (we arrived at noon) and must be completely out of the unit by 10:00am (our flight was at 6:00pm). The mgmt co allowed us to store our luggage at their office during the before and after hours; however, the office is two miles away from the unit. So, we had to Uber our luggage from the airport to the mgmt co's office, then Uber into town for lunch and wait the four hours until the unit became available. We then had to Uber back to the office to retrieve our luggage and then take another Uber with our luggage to our unit. We then had to repeat the process upon departure. In all, it required 8 separate Ubers - an expensive hassle. It would have been so much better service if someone at the office would have simply driven our luggage to and from the unit or if we could have stored our luggage on site. Nevertheless, I am already looking forward to our next visit.

The location of condo #26 is outstanding. The unit at the end of a row of condos allows for three huge windows along the outside wall.
We knew that it would be a three story unit. The seemingly endless steps up and down turned out to be too strenuous for our group. A minor note: the railings are installed too high.
The living room sofas are in desperate need of replacement. There isn't anywhere comfortable to sit. At times we resorted to the wooden dinette chairs.
Since we prefer fine dining, the best meal we had all week was at Louie's Backyard.
The management company provided excellent customer service.
We were unaware and didn't research the fact that it was 'swarming season'. The termites that swarm (dusk to sunset??) can get into the house.
The unit will be recommended with the advice that thirty one some odd steps might be a drawback.

Villa Josine was as beautiful in person as in the photos. The outdoor pool area was a little taste of paradise, especially with the covered veranda and comfortable furniture. The inside was tastefully furnished, the kitchen was perfectly stocked, the beds were comfortable, and we had plenty of space meet, eat and play! The location was ideal for us - we walked everywhere with no problem. The responsiveness of property management was very good - our ice machine froze over and it was fixed the same day. The inside of the space was lovely and comfortable, and had everything we needed. I really liked that the aesthetic of the space had an ocean and beach vibe without being overly gaudy or using lots of bright colors. It was tastefully done. The space is perfect for just two or three people. The outside area was very beautiful and relaxing. There are multiple duplex condos around a central courtyard , so there are other people there, but it was still quiet for the most part, considering that. Customer service with the rental agency was excellent and top-notch. We would return here again!

We enjoyed our time at Villa Josine. Each bedroom had its own bathroom, the kitchen was furnished with anything that we wanted. The covered back porch area is nice, we sat out there every day, especially in the mornings. The heated pool was great. It’s a fun place to stay because it is close enough to walk to so many good restaurants and music.

We just returned home from a lovely stay at Chick-a-pea cottage and would highly recommend. We are often visitors to Key West and this was a great cottage for many reasons.

The location is fantastic is being located right off of Duval, but is still exceptionally quiet. You haven't been to KW, this cottage is on the more quiet end of Duval (close to the Southernmost end). There were five of us staying in the cottage and it was incredibly comfortable for a group that size. 6 would be great as well. The small bedroom off the kitchen is bijou, but adorable. Probably best for anyone who is an early riser (or a heavy sleeper) as it opens onto the kitchen.

The combined living room and dining area are well appointed and comfortable. The decor overall in the entire cottage is tasteful, adorable and "beachy" without being over the top.

My husband and I stayed in the master bedroom and the bed was SO comfortable. If you like plush and soft beds, you'll love this one. I find rentals sometimes skimp on beds and was pleasantly surprised to find a mattress that I really liked! Kudos to the owners. We were traveling with my mom and my husband's mom as well as one of my best friends. They all reported their beds were a tad hard but overall okay.

The outside area has a wonderful cabana where we spent most mornings with coffee and evenings after dinner chatting. The pool was perfect and appreciated having four lounge chairs.

The parking area and walk up to the deck of the cottage is gravel. Just something to be aware of with suitcases and if you have anyone older and more unsure on their feet.

The Historic Key West Vacation Rentals property management team were excellent! We had an issue with the wifi and they were incredibly attentive and quick to respond. It didn't get resolved while we were there, but no fault of the management company or the owner.

Fantastic 2 Bdrm house with private deck, grill, hot tub. Well-appointed kitchen, comfortable beds, 2 full baths, clean. Quiet location, but easy walk to Duval St. Been to Key West many times and this was the best rental I have found.

Beautiful home. Great layout for multiple couples as there are 3 king en-suites with their own entrances. Very quiet. We slept in the main house and we could not hear anyone come in and make breakfast in the morning. Only a 1/2 block from the quiet end of Duvall street. Can walk to everything. Could not hear any street noise. Great mattresses, sheets and pillows. Incredible pool area. Super clean. We enjoyed just hanging out at the house during our down time. Great communication from management company, friendly, available and helpful. Two thumb's up. We all would stay here again.

Wonderful house, quiet community, walk to everything! Attended the Mile 0 Fest. Awesome location to go to and from the shows. Near all the good cocktail bars: General Horrsplay, 915, The Roost, Bagatelle.
House had all modern updates with comfortable beds and comfortable furniture. Rear private patio and easy access to community pool Would benefit from adding patio table and chairs to enjoy, and clear instructions about needing the pool and gate key especially when returning to the community after 6p.

Awesome!
Condo is small but as nice as can be. Everything you need is there and no more. No dressers in either bedroom so you basically live out of the suitcase but I think this is typical of Key West. Outside deck is big and gorgeous with plenty of vegetation and lots of privacy. Only 1/10th of a mile from Truman Annex park to walk in and just a few blocks from Duval. Close to everything but quiet at night. HKWVR was great. They let us drop our bags off when we got there until we could check in. Check in was available an hour early. Had and issue with water backing up in the dishwasher. Called and they had if fixed in no time while we were out and about.

wonderful property in a great location

Villa Josine was exactly as advertised. It is a well-kept property, the landscaping added privacy and a lush tropical feel to the outdoor spaces. The pool area was clean, pool was heated which was important in January, and pool towels conveniently located next to the deck sliding doors. The outside covered porch was wonderful for drinks or dining, well lit and with cooling ceiling fans.
Inside, 4 en-suite bedrooms however one has 2 twin beds, and since we were 3 couples it wasn’t an issue, but convenient if traveling with children. Beds were very comfortable, sheets were crisp. Ceiling fans in the bedrooms also. Plenty of towels in the bathrooms. The stairs up to the 2 upstairs bedrooms are a little narrow and steep, be careful.
Washer and dryer worked just fine.
The kitchen/living/dining area is very generously sized and nicely furnished. It functions especially well to be able to have guests enjoying the sitting areas while someone is in the kitchen and yet still part of the group. Large fridge and freezer, microwave, coffee machine, blender, oven all in excellent condition and worked well. The new Weber Genesis grill on the pool deck was fabulous.
Kitchen supplies were good, enough glasses, dishes etc for at least 8 and plastic glasses for poolside.
The location is a quiet one-way narrow street and if you have more than one car, (2 small ones will fit in the driveway though) you might have to hunt for parking spaces. The quiet street is lovely. Walkable to Duval.

We loved everything about this wonderful rental property. Spacious and clean with a great layout. The design of the outside deck and pool creates an integrated feel for the whole property. Childproof locks on all doors were perfect to ensure our two small grandkids were kept safe. It's located in a a quiet part of Old Town with easy access to any of the main tourist destinations. We decided to rent a 6-person golf cart rental and had a blast navigating Old Town. The staff at HKWVR were all extremely professional, responsible and helpful.

From start to finish, this experience was top-notch! The host quickly emailed to confirm the no-refund policy, make a suggestion about travel insurance, and explain amenities. There was ongoing communication prior to the arrival, including status updates day of. The house is perfectly located and impeccably appointed. We found that the pizza restaurant owners next door knew the owner and spoke as highly of not only her personality but also the location. It aligned with everything we experienced. Communication was prompt, clear, and accurate. This location ensured maximum privacy right while being conveniently located to all attractions.

Potter's Cottage was in a great location and was perfect for our 5 day New Year's vacation. It was very clean, well-appointed and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the pool too! We liked that it was just a block off the quieter end of Duval, and we easily walked or biked to everything we wanted to do. The room with the pullout couch had doors for privacy and was just big enough for the bed unfolded, but my 5'11" son said it was very comfortable, and he was happy in there. One thing to note is the steps to the upstairs bedroom are steep, so this is not a cottage for someone who has issues with stairs.
We really appreciated the help of the wonderful staff at HKWVR planning our first trip to Key West!

This was the perfect stay for my holiday! The location is convenient, walking distance to everything you need. The area does get a bit noisy on the weekends but it's tolerable. The space is cozy yet maintains a light and airy feel. The hosts were wonderful and very responsive when I had a maintenance issue. The hot tub was a real treat and it was great having a designated parking space for my car. Highly recommend and reasonably priced, I would stay again!

The time we spent in Key West was great, even with only one good day of sunshine. Our rental was clean, comfortable and well located. We rented a car but honestly it was a waste of money. We walked to practically everywhere we wanted to go on Key West except Fort Zachary. Next time we visit we will rent bikes. The only negative about the location at 817 White street is the traffic. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the evenings but the traffic got quite loud at times, not enough of a turn off not to visit this place again.

Wow, what a great rental in paradise. All previous reviews are spot on, great rental with no surprises. All the standard stuff you expect to be great is. Plus some personal peeves I have with older properties were non-existent. For example, all sink drains...drained. The propane grill had propane and was cared for and set up for proper use. The ignitor worked. The pool was indeed properly heated. Our air temp during the day was low to mid 70's...the pool was 94 --- so, so comfy. Plenty of pool towels, Ice machine worked great. On street parting was no problem, two great restaurants (Mangia Mangia and Bob's on Margaret) right next door. And so on...

In short super property and super responsive guest focused rental management company.

great place to spend a few days in key west

Had an outstanding stay. The place was perfect for my wife and I to have a great 5-night stay during the Christmas holiday. The rental is situated within an one-mile walk of all the Key West highlights and restaurants. Crucial for a Key West stay is the parking at this unit. Parking is $5/hour around Key West so the ability to park and walk/bike/scooter is great. The unit was exactly as pictured in the ad and has all the basics to support a stay of up to four. The unit was also clean on arrival. We did not use the pull out, but the bedroom mattress was very comfortable, and the two split unit HVACs kept the place very cool when set to 72F. The laundry allowed us to pack a little lighter since we were able to wash our laundry mid-stay, and the machine and dryer were large capacity and newer models. The unit is also on a “side street” allowing for a quieter stay at night but only a few blocks to all the Key West action of Duval Street and Old Town. The host organization communicated by text several times during our stay to check on our needs and offered their concierge services. Can’t say enough good things. We will definitely use this host organization for our next stay.

This was our 2nd time staying at the Poinciana and we'll definitely be back. Perfect spot for a couple, with an additional pull-out sofa for a child. The location is ideal...walking distance to the hustle and bustle of Duval, but situated on a very quiet street so you can get away from it all and get some sleep. Less than a mile to Higgs Beach in one direction or Mallory Square in the other. Hot tub was a huge bonus.

My son, daughter-in-law, and I made a last minute vacation change and were blessed to find and select the Seas The Day VRBO. We had a cruise planned planned for 4 months, and 1 1/2 days to departure, Carnival notified us of the cruise cancelation due to ship engine problems.
The condo was in a great location of all activities on and around Duval Street, and the warm where we could watch the World Offshore boat races. We didn't need a rental car, as we could easily walk to most of the island. The condo was clean, with a wonderful patio, and all the basic amenities, washer/dryer, kitchen, iron, hair dryer, and 3 televisions.

Everything was perfect with the unit and the keyless system made check-in/check-out easy. House was extremely clean, up to date, and very functional. A nice touch was that all of the light switches are labeled. The parking space is also a huge plus in Key West. A couple of suggestions which would be nice are:

Provide a couple of beach chairs for beach visits.

Trim back the overgrowth on the pool deck and back yard area. There was virtually no sunshine available and the pool strainer filled up with dropped foliage every day.

Great stay and highly recommend.

What a fantastic, little romantic cottage... Right off Duval Street with access to everything especially the marina where we spent most of our time... Perfect little one bedroom with a small kitchen and TV room for that romantic weekend getaway...
The cottage had everything... Wi-Fi, plenty of cooking utensils, although we went out every night... Everything was perfect, including a very easy, remote contactless check in... Kim at the home office was fantastic to work with... Everybody was very easy, and I am definitely going to stay in that same cottage next year when we’re back for the powerboat races... The backyard was very private with lush landscaping and a beautiful pool area. The pool was heated which made it easy to swim on the chillier evenings. The house has a great layout for multiple guests to have their own privacy. The space was exactly as described. It was clean, complete, and comfortable with an authentic old Florida feel. It would be a great place for a couple, but I was there with my daughter and was easily able to sleep on the sofa comfortably. Fousto's Food Market, bars and restaurants are all within easy walking distances. Cars, scooters and golf carts were not part of the experience we wanted and this place worked well for that purpose.

This property was absolutely perfect for our Key West stay. We had enough space for everyone -rented both spaces. The house was full of charm and character. No details were spared. It’s in the prime spot and we even had a private chef for dinner who had ample space and stocked kitchen. The pool and deck area was used the most and provided enough space to hang out comfortably. beautiful property but...

This place is amazing- absolutely what we expected based on the photos. If you are considering this spot- book it! This place deserves a 15 on a scale from 1 to 10 for its location! literally a few feet from the Duval strip, the home is spacious, comfortable and clean.
The beds are comfortable, the outdoor pool and terrace were very attractive, the Bbq is a plus.
However, we didn’t give a five star because, unfortunately, it had zero kitchen or bathroom basics!
Most of us arrived from an international location and honestly, we didn’t appreciate to be told to go to the nearest supermarket upon arrival to buy salt, pepper and olive oil. This property is not on a cheap side, You would think, they would have minimum basics available.
We have stayed in a lot of cheaper homes with a few and sometimes a lot more of basics for guests to enjoy, especially the international guests.
It also lacked of communication with the rental company, we called several times to find out how to turn on the outdoor fans and only received an answer the next day.
So, overall, this was a great stay and perfect on the location side and the quality of the home, just make sure to travel with sugar, salt & pepper, oil, body soap and shampoo.
Should you have any questions, relax, the company will call you on island time.

We rented both units (top and bottom) and had a relaxing stay. Easy access to everything we wanted to do. Area was quiet and felt safe during our stay. Parking worked for our two vehicles (small and medium SUVs) but think larger vehicles would struggle. Property management was very clear about parking and shared options for larger vehicles. We would certainly return.

We had a great time - house is close enough to walk to most things or take the free air conditioned bus for the rest. Great Italian on the corner and plenty of other delicious restaurants/cafes within a couple of blocks. A/C works great and each room has its own unit - beds were comfortable; bed linens were not the best. And in classic Key West style, there is a rooster who walks the neighborhood each morning doing his patrol! We did bring our own pool Floats and outdoor speaker and did not see that the home had either.

Very convenient to Duvall Street, the Southern Most Point, the butterfly museum, Hemingway House and the Key West Lighthouse. The house was exceptionally clean and was well stocked with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Our family also rented Grand Maison so we had the whole property. It was great for the 10 of us. Parking around Key West is tough, so don’t waste time getting a rental car, just Uber. They are readily available and the cost is usually $10 or less.

I stayed in one of the upstairs apartments and it was just as pretty as the pictures. Sparkly clean with nice decor, comfy and quiet although it’s 2 blocks from Duval St. The backyard is paradise and I had the pool to myself. I walked to the pier and along the docks the first night. On day 2 the apt mgr had a bike delivered and that was even better. I biked to my boat tour an.d Ft Zachary beach and shopping and threw towel and gifts in the bicycle basket. Now my brother and cousins want to stay in the Conch house too. The only downside is the inconvenience of picking up and dropping off keys at their office which is a mile away and in a commercial area with very little to walk to. They have absolutely no flexibility with checkout time so I had 4 hours to kill between dropping off my keys and ubering out to my flight.
Other than that I’d recommend it.

Unit is in a gated community within walking distance of Duval and many things you would like to see. Even though it's close to the action, we were not disturbed (except for occasional roosters). There is a pool on site and never more than a dozen or so in the area. Everything was clean and well maintained.

This property was the highlight of our time in Key West! The mature Palm trees are natural umbrellas that made it possible for us to be out of direct sun and enjoy the pool all day. It was easy & everything went smoothly. The home was very lovely and cute. Small but relaxing outside area with a small soaking pool. We had everything we needed. Downstairs bathroom nlis huge with large shower. Upstairs bathroom is small, shower requires people not to be very tall, fyi. We had 7 palmetto bugs on night one in the upstairs bathroom, but rental company sent someone to handle the next day and that got rid of them. They arranged bikes to be delivered which was great. It's a great location just a block and half from Hemingway House. Whitehead is a busy street but you wouldn't know itnfrom inside the cottage.. its well insulated. We had a lovely time.

First, I don’t think you can find a better location, near Duval, close to restaurants and shops. We rented bikes but ended up walking most places. Second, the house is spotless! We were there with another couple and were very comfortable. We chose to cook supper most nights using the grill which was, also, spotless! The kitchen is well appointed with sharp knives! The staff was very kind offering suggestions for sites and dining! We really enjoyed having a pretty much private pool! The cleaning folks were very good and kept both the outside and inside clean. We stayed at Dreaming on Duval. A beautiful home with plenty of room for our crew of 10 (5 beds & 4.5 baths). The pool and patio were lovely for coffee, swim, or evening leisure. The waterfall was so pleasant to listen to from our room balcony. Location was fantastic. You can walk or golf cart easily to any where in town. The golf cart/scooter rental is right next door and a convenience store right across the street. We had groceries delivered right to the house. All of the info provided from Cindy at the office was awesome with info on what to do and where to go. Jennifer and the entire office was quick with response and made everything easy. Would definitely recommend going through this company.

We have been attending the Songwriter's Festival for 9 years - first time in this home. With the festival moving more toward this end of Duvall the location is perfect. Multiple King Size beds makes it great for two couples sharing the house. The parking space is awesome and quite large compared to others we have rented. There are a few things that I would suggest for the property: (1) Love the outdoor area, but the deck around the pool is not acceptable. There are a couple of soft, rotten boards and the deck coating is extremely hot in the sun...too hot to walk on with bare feet. (2) Front bedroom lacks storage...needs a chest of drawers or wardrobe. (3) As one who likes to cook, a knife sharpener would be appreciated.

For our first visit to Key West, we had originally booked a resort on Mallory Square. However, after stumbling across the Historic Key West Vacation Rentals website, we changed our plans--and we're so glad we did! Chavez House was our own private oasis. The house is beautifully renovated with so much charm and character and cozy comfort. With two teenagers, we appreciated having multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, and the location is perfect for quick bike rides to just about everywhere. We absolutely loved the plunge pool and lush tropical landscaping of the private backyard. The rental company was amazing to work with and pretty much anticipated our needs before we did. So professional and accommodating. Truly, a dream getaway!

This was our first trip to Key West. The rental office was perfectly communicative. I felt like I could reach out to them if I had any types of questions or if I needed anything. They texted just the right amount. My husband and I spent five nights in this cottage. We had everything we needed. The location was fantastic... We walked everywhere. The air conditioners worked beautifully and they were ceiling fans as well. Everything was very clean and the bed comfortable. I sat out on the porch quite a bit and that was nice. I watched the lizards on the plants bike delivery was perfect. They dropped him off and pick them up for us.

Great house! We love this street - the perfect balance of quiet and still enough activity to feel part of life going on. Such a short walk to the seaport, the grocery, the wine store(!) and plenty of fabulous restaurants.

The house is decorated perfectly and had everything we could need, even the switches marked for all the lights and fans :) Everything was super clean and high quality. The beds were comfortable and the primary bedroom really roomy. Great showers and towels - high on my list! The only suggestion we have: The rockers on the front porch are cute but pretty uncomfortable - I would love for them to find an alternative. Sitting outside for coffee or a glass of wine or just to people-watch folks walking by is the best part.

The property management folks could not have been nicer or more responsive while also being very pleasant and professional. They were available for any little question via phone and text, convenient communication.

The only inconvenience was having to taxi to the management office on White St. in order to both pick up, as well as drop off, keys. But they arranged for after-hours access which we appreciated.

one week in kw well spent

My husband and I just spent a week in Key West for his 50th birthday. We loved the island so much last year, he wanted to come back. Property management was easy to work with, we had a late arrival and directions were perfect for getting our keys to the property. We got to the property a little after 9pm, unloaded and freshened up and were on Duval by 10pm! The walk is just a couple blocks and so safe and secure. We slept great in the king bed and I enjoyed coffee before heading out for our adventures each day. We went to the beach daily and I can’t imagine if we didn’t have a washer and dryer for suits and towels. If you have ever been to Key West, you know parking can be a real issue in a lot of areas- having a designated parking spot was another reason we chose this rental. Only thing to pass along when choosing this rental- there are beach towels but no other beach items like chairs, umbrellas or tote. We rented chairs and an umbrella daily but that will run you an extra $50, just an fyi.

chic/quaint home with oustanding professional management company

We recommend Casablanca Too (CB2) for couples looking for a nearly spotless, comfortable, and relaxing place to stay while in Key West. From start to finish, Historic Key West Vacation Rentals (HKWVR) was top notch in providing professional level service. Cindy (initial reservation), Ana (check-in and Key West overview), and Susan (check out and inquired of how we liked our stay) were all knowledgeable, pleasant and courteous. Upon arrival at CB2, the lights were on welcoming us into our "home"; what a nice touch of elegance.

CB2 is a duplex, but we only noticed our neighbors while outside either leaving/returning at the gates. CB2 fronts White St, a bit busier vehicle street for Key West, but it was quiet at night like much of the island. CB2 was just the right size for us and had all the amenities we needed including parking. We enjoyed morning breakfast on the patio and coffee/tea on the front porch. The walking distance to most attractions including Duval St and the wharf was as expected, 20-25 minutes. We took our bicycles with us and felt comfortable locking them in the patio area. Most rides took us only 10 minutes to get to our destinations (Ft Zachary Taylor, Southernmost Pt). We enjoyed dinner in the courtyard at Kaya Island Eats (enter off Angela St) and live music at the adjacent Backyard. We also visited the Hemingway Home with their six toed cats, Sunday artisan market at Higgs Beach, Key West Garden Club and Wildlife Center, Mallory Square shops, Butterfly Conservatory, and food/drinks at Blue Heaven, Conch Republic, The White Tarpon, and Banana Café. Dinner at Hogfish which we highly recommend on Stock Island was a short 10 minute drive.

Everything was as expected based on the property description. The addition of a quality management team with attention to detail along with a dedicated cleaning and maintenance staff put them above the rest. Our stay at La Maisonnette was great. The location is perfect: close to everything but in a very quiet, beautiful complex. The unit is newly renovated and nicely appointed. We had a wonderful time staying here in Key West. If you are into front porch sitting and people watching this is a great location. There is a nice private back patio area also. This AirBnB is conveniently located. We were able to park our car and used our bikes to go everywhere except golfing. The only drawback is that this is a very busy street so there is not much quiet in the daytime -we weren’t there much in the daytime- but was very peaceful at night.

quiet residential neighborhood but convenient to attractions

We had a relaxing time, but there were many little annoyances in this house. For example, bathroom doors were warped and did not completely close, shower handle was loose in one bathroom and had to have maintenance to come and fix it. There were no mirrors in upstairs bedrooms and only small one in bathroom, kitchen faucet was improperly installed so it was tricky to get cold water. Another thing was that there is a louver window in upstairs bedroom which overlooked the stairs so that all sounds coming from that room were broadcast throughout the house.

Though the square footage of the unit is very small, Petite Maison was comfortable, just off Duval and had all the amenities needed for a nice stay. The ensuite bedrooms have king beds and are both downstairs on the entry level while the kitchen, living area and balcony are on the second level. Bedrooms have blackout curtains and ceiling fans and the air conditioning works very well. The staff at HKWVR was very responsive and helpful each time we reached out. We enjoyed our time in Key West and would definitely recommend HKWVR and Petite Masion to anyone.

The unit was very neat and clean. And the location was excellent about a block and a half away from Duvall, which is the center of the entertainment District. The pool in the backyard was an excellent benefit. Even when one of the renters from upstairs was outside. We both enjoyed the pool, and did not really Interfere with one another the only negative was we had four people one person was sleeping on the couch and had to go through the bedrooms. Do use the bathroom at night. But definitely enjoyed this day and would return again.

The check-in process was extremely easy, efficient and friendly. The home was in great shape upon arrival, clean, tidy and great location. We would definitely stay here again, it was far enough off Duval to have peace and quiet, yet close enough to the action. Landscaping was excellent, outside of residence well kept. Property description was very accurate, the amenities within the home were excellent, light switches could use better labeling, but overall well maintained. Property Management was in constant contact to see if we needed anything, for the home or concierge services - which was nice!

We had a delightful stay at Fair Winds @ the Foundry. The condo is kept in great shape and the kitchen is well stocked with quality utensils and appliances. There were ample supplies - coffee filters, dishwasher pads, paper towels, toilet paper, etc. so we never had to run to the store for something. Nice touch. Our bed was very comfortable and the ground floor room with the high ceilings was a pleasant space to hang out. Because this is a corner unit, there are 3 extra windows on the side for extra light, but they also have quality blinds that can be closed off completely in the evening for privacy. The decorations were very nice and it was an inviting place to come back to every day. The location is fantastic, just a short walk to Mallory square, Duval, and the seaside park. We really couldn't ask for better. Interaction with the Historic Key West staff before, during and after the stay was prompt, and always accurate. There were zero hiccups. I found them professional and trustworthy and would rent from them again.

This darling house is perfect for a couple - with a charming front porch to witness the sunrise and a covered rear patio to enjoy the sunset. Plus, there is a cozy ‘guest house’ in the rear that offers a kitchenette plus a half bath - perfect for anyone who enjoys even more quietude. The folks at HKWV are simply THE BEST! The house (should be described as a Villa) was fabulous. A real escape. You could spend your entire time in the outdoor area. The accommodations were great. Plenty of space for six adults (we also had in infant...need to introduce them to Key West early). The kitchen the perfect place to prepare the Turkey dinner will all the trimmings and room for the gang to consume a few glasses of wine...all had to "help" with the prep. Location was great...all the important stuff was within walking distance; but not within noise distance. We will be back, again

This duplex was clean and charming. The location is excellent and is close to many attractions. The property management team was superb in communication - will definitely use their services again. Just an FYI- you have to go to the office to get the keys and drop them off. Taxi drivers charged more for two stops. Recommend bringing an eye mask because the room is really bright at night and in the morning. This may not be an issue for others-I sleep better in a dark room. Would stay here again.

This was the 2nd time we rented Maisons de Luxe, and once again, it did not disappoint. The house was immaculate when we arrived and our group of 12 (6 couples) had plenty of room to move around, and also have quiet time if we needed it. The pool and patio were used everyday. There are just a couple of things that we noticed need some improvement. First, the WIFI throughout the house is very weak and spotty. The main 2nd floor bedroom TV would not connect at all. The management company was SUPER helpful and sent someone over to add a booster, which did help, however after they left, we could still only utilize a few channels of the TV. Some of this may be due to how confusing the TV remote and the TV provider make it to access channels. The only other item was that the bed pillows in the main front 2nd floor bedroom need refreshing. They don't have much fluff left in them. (Can't speak for the other rooms). Other than that, our stay was wonderful, and we would definitely go back again. Thank you!

We loved our stay at Casablanca too! Even though it fronts White Street, it is very quiet. The kitchen is very well equipped. The sofa is super comfy. You are close enough to walk just about anywhere in Key West. Only nit-pick is the pillows and mattress. They both could stand an upgrade to maybe memory foam, and nicer/more plush pillows but it's not a deal breaker.

My Happy Place - Monthly Rental

This beautiful home is exactly what the pictures show on the HKWVR site. It is beautifully decorated and extremely clean. It is in a residential area but conveniently located for walking to the harbor,all things on and off Duval,Mallory Square and the Southernmost Point. We rented bikes for the month and they were easily stored out of the way in the fenced yard. The pool was absolute necessity since we were there the whole month of August. The pool service was weekly. Someone slips in and out cleaning up palm tree debris and taking the big trash cans to and from the curb on trash day. The management company was immediately responsive to the few issues we had sending Steve and others to fix those problems within an hour or two of us notifying them. We had 2 different couples stay a week each while there and they only had to pay for one night of parking because there are non resident spots available in the neighborhood. We would
definitely recommend this property to others.I would recommend HKWVR for any future Key West trips due to their fabulous service.

The Chick A Pea Cottage was just perfect for a 4 night girls getaway in Key West. The indoor spaces for 4 friends weee perfect, and the small outdoor pool, cabana, and chairs made each afternoon or evening an escape from the heat. The location was ideal as we were a walk away from anyplace we wanted to go, whether sightseeing or dining. There were 3 full bedrooms and one that housed a twin bed and nightstand. The rental contacts were informative, friendly, and were a great resource in preparing for this trip. I would absolutely rent this place again.

This was an awesome little spot to stay. I would definitely book it again when I head to the Keys. I live in Florida and this place was great because I had a place to park my Mercedes which I was worried about being on the street. Our 27th Wedding anniversary trip to Key West was a dream! Villa Luxe is a perfect property and had lots of room for our family to spread out and gorgeous common spaces for us to spend time together. We enjoyed the amazing pool nestled in a tropical oasis every day of our trip. The property is on a quieter street but still close to most anything you want to get to (Flamingo Crossing ice cream is right by the house). Our trip was full of adventure and Villa Luxe was the perfect spot to relax between the amazing restaurants (Blackfin Bistro, Hot Tin Roof, Latitudes, Banana Cafe, Moondog Cafe, Blue Heaven, La Te Da were some of our favs), fabulous places to visit (Hemingway's Home was a must see and loved exploring Fort Zachary Taylor State Park) and excursions (Fury's Ultimate Adventure, Ghosts and Gravestones Trolley Tour). Love this place and hope to come back!

Excellent stay at The Fair winds @ The Foundry. The unit is in Truman Annex which is perfectly situated for an easy walk to Fort Zachary and Duval Street. No need for a car or golf cart. We walked everywhere. Uber is the cheapest alternative to/from airport. Enjoyed the gulf side beach without the smelly seaweed. Snorkeling is convenient at Fort Zachary- recommend renting only one set and sharing. Chair rentals are very convenient. Great little cafe there. Beautiful sunsets from there too. Fun to see the cruise boats docked a short walk away although they made the tourist spots busy. Historic Key West Vacation Rentals provided excellent tips for a perfect vacation. The furnishing are very comfortable. Great layout with the two bedrooms on separate floors provides privacy. Comfortable beds. Very clean. Unit provided with extra tp, coffee filters and liquid soap. Instacart delivery from Publix arrived within 30 minutes of our check-in. Also, beach towels and chairs were provided. Pool is small but nice and very close to unit. Outdoor patio area is great spot to relax when not too muggy. Favorite restaurants include- Cafe Sole, Bagattelle, A&B Lobster, Louie’s Backyard, Bistro 245, Red Shoe Island Bistro, and Onlywood Pizza. Highly recommend this unit!

Our family stayed in the first floor apartment of Sea Conch for four nights in July. Everything about the rental exceeded our expectations. The place was spotless. The first floor had a full kitchen, a huge dining/family room, two full sized bedrooms with attached bathrooms. The back yard pool area was like a botanical garden. The location was very quiet, but only a couple of blocks from Duval Street, Fausto's and several great restaurants.

This is a great rental home and I am very appreciative of Historic Key West Rentals for their assistance. Everything was easy and as it should be. The home is beautiful and the pool is a great addition and very refreshing. The bedrooms upstairs are all spacious and very well appointed. The kitchen is great and definitely the gathering place for the home and the dining room is large and comfortable. One recommendation - the kitchen is great and having someone (like me) who likes to cook it could use a small set of Tupperware for leftovers. The outdoor shower and grill were great bonuses and definitely used during our stay. Would absolutely rent this home again!

This beautiful cottage home has everything you need and then some. My sister and I were thrilled with the location as there were many restaurants, shops activities right around the corner. There is even a cute little gallery next door. We enjoyed the beautiful backyard relaxing in the pool and spent a good amount of time on the porch “people watching”. There is also a beautiful view of the lighthouse that never gets old. The location was so wonderful that we didn’t even use our car during our stay.
