- Celebrate the 125th anniversary of Ernest Hemingway’s July 21 birth at Sloppy Joe’s, 201 Duval St., beginning at 9 a.m. The Papa Birthday Bash is the last event of the annual Ernest Hemingway Festival. The fun begins at 9 a.m. with opportunities to take photos with the newly-named “Papa 2024,” presentation of checks to non-profit organizations supported by the annual Look-Alike contest, and a themed birthday cake at noon.
